Un-stuffed Shells


Total Time: 1 hr
Serves: 8

Ingredients
1 box large shells
1/2 lb lean ground beef
1/2 lb spicy Italian sausage
15 oz. light ricotta cheese
8 oz. shredded Italian cheese blend
1 (9 oz.) box frozen spinach, thawed
1/2 tsp. basil
1 (25.5 oz.) jar of pasta sauce

Directions
Heat oven to 350 F. Spray a 3 qt glass baking dish with cooking spray. Cook and drain pasta as directed. In a nonstick skillet, cook sausage and beef until no longer pink. Drain.
In a medium bowl, stir ricotta cheese, 1 cup of the Italian cheese blend, spinach and basil.
Combine ricotta mixture, beef/sausage, and pasta sauce. Stir well.
Combine with shells and place in baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
Bake uncovered for 10-20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
