BBQ Turkey Sloppy Joes with Baked Garlic Fries


Sloppy Joes
Total Time: 30 minutes
Serves: 4

Ingredients
1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 onion, finely chopped
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 lb. ground turkey
1 tsp. brown sugar
1 cup tomato puree
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
1/4 cup of water
1/4 tsp. hot sauce
4 hamburger buns

Directions
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat until simmering. Add onion and cook until soft, about 5 minutes. 
Add garlic and chili powder and cook until fragrant, 30 seconds.
Add turkey and cook until cooked through, about 6 minutes.
Add pepper, brown sugar, tomato puree, barbecue sauce, water and hot sauce to skillet. 
Simmer until sauce is slightly thicker than ketchup, 8 to 10 minutes.
Spoon mixture onto toasted buns.

Baked Garlic Fries
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Bake Time: 40 minutes
Serves: 4

Ingredients
4 medium potatoes
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 & 1/2 Tbsp. olive oil
pepper

Directions
Preheat over to 450 F. Peel and slice potatoes. Place in baking sheet, lined with foil. Mix olive oil and garlic together. Brush mixture over fries, then flip fries over and repeat. Sprinkle with pepper.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Flip fries over. Sprinkle with pepper and bake for another 20 minutes.
Place fries on a paper towel to absorb any excess oil. Enjoy!

*Note- Baking time may need to be adjusted based on thickness of fries and desired crispiness.
